Everest Base Camp Trek
Everest Base Camp Trek
Trip Overview & Highlights
Trip Overview
The Everest Base Camp Trek with Fly Trek Nepal is the classic Himalayan adventure, leading you to the foot of the world’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest (8,849 m). After a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, you follow the Dudh Koshi River through the Khumbu region, crossing high suspension bridges and climbing to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa capital. From there, the trail rises through rhododendron forests, high mountain villages, and the famous Tengboche Monastery to the glacier-carved valley beneath Everest.
The journey reaches Everest Base Camp at 5,364 m, and many trekkers also climb Kala Patthar (about 5,545 m) for the best close-up views of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse. Along the way, you stay in friendly teahouses, meet Sherpa families, and walk through Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trek is a real high-altitude challenge, but with built-in acclimatization days, a steady pace, and the support of experienced local guides and porters from Fly Trek Nepal, it is achievable for fit, well-prepared first-time trekkers.
